This is my new favorite of Sara Alexi's Greek Village Series. I got all that I had to do out of the way cuz I knew I would not be able to put it down and that was true. This story hooked me right from the first chapter. I loved that we got to see almost everyone in town. Cosmo was someone we knew but not much about him and now we know it all. I love that man. I often relate to these people and funny tho he is a man and lost his mother, the way he felt is how I felt when I left my ex. lol.. How Sara can write about these wonderful people and make you fall in love with them all and also relate is a real talent. As another reviewer said it is like you have been there. It is a place you actually visit and can't wait to go back. That will be up to Sara. Another wonderful book by Sara Alexi. She brings the characters to life and transports the readers back to the Village in Greece. As in Sara's other books she seems to focus on 3 or 4 characters so it is easy to get to know them better.This story really makes you realise just how humble people can be as well as teach us to not judge people by first glances.The main characters have grown up together in the village and has taken to their later years in life to have settled and been through some tough times to reach a happy , satisfied contentment.Cosmo may have thought that he was a "little slow" at school but if that was a problem then what a kind, humble and giving person he was.In reading his story I did have a heavy heart at times but what a man he turned out to be!! Maybe we should all "take note" and learn from Cosmo.As for his secret love,she really deseved his affection after a sad life.A fantastic read as usual by Sara and I love the way she keeps us all up to date with the familiar characters . Only problem is her books are never long enough for me. Could of had another 4 or 5 hundred pages!! Thanks and awaiting the next.
